Woods, ice & us is a series that the incredibly stupendous photographer Anze Osterman was kind enough to let us share on our blog. It’s a beautiful shoot, filled with layers of light, texture and movement. A shoot that takes in some incredibly breathtakingly epic scenes and molds them into something intimate and personal.
Anze Says: I’ve always been drawn to reaching out and seeking new experiences. Especially those experiences that come about from doing something spontaneous. I am blessed to have a friend like Jaka, he’s someone who emphasises with the way I do things and we have lots of things in common, like exploration and skateboarding.
One day we decided to pack our boards and went to look for some new roads to ride. Instead, we found something better. A frozen lake, a space filled with so much potential. I had to grab my camera and document how amazing it is to skate on ice, with skateboards.
Why did we do such a thing? Because you know that whatever lies beyond the fog there’s a chance that it’s going to be something that you’re going to love. And ever since i took that risk, took that chance to travel beyond the fog and found that lake hidden in the middle of the woods. It’s now my favourite place to go, since moving to this village near Jelovica woods.
Woods, Ice & Us is a series of photos that gives us the feeling, that we can find something exciting and fresh everyday and everywhere. I realised that stepping outside of my comfort zone, I potentially create something that makes my future brighter.
